After a year of theatre closures around the world due the Covid pandemic, Ainsley is excited to share that he will be leading the company of Pippin in the first main-stage production that will mark the return of Australian theatre. Ainsley will step into the title role of Pippin alongside Gabrielle McClinton’s Leading Player.

This Tony Award winning revival, straight from the mind of director Diane Paulus, blends the narrative and songs of the original production with the high flying world of the Circus. For the role, Ainsley will learn how to climb poles, throw knives, jump through hoops, scale sets and backflip, among many other skills.

The production will make history as the first Covid safe production in Australia and will set the precedent for the return of theatre on Broadway and the West End. Pippin, produced by the Gordon Frost Organisation will play at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from December 2020.
